The Engage Housing Summit brings together young people for a one-day, immersive experience to understand, discuss, and take action on Canada’s housing crisis. This youth-led summit combines learning, dialogue, and hands-on problem-solving to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make a difference in their communities.
Summit Overview
This summit is for youth and young adults interested in housing, equity, and civic engagement — whether you’re new to housing policy or already active in civic spaces. Participants will:

Explore why housing is unaffordable and how we got here

Understand who shapes housing outcomes — governments, developers, nonprofits, and communities

Examine successful housing solutions from Canada and beyond

Build skills in policy thinking, negotiation, and collaboration

Leave with a Capstone action plan to advocate, organize, or educate others

No prior experience is required — curiosity, engagement, and collaboration are key.
