Youth Employment in Policy
The Youth Employment in Policy program is designed to connect young people with career opportunities in policy-related fields across government, nonprofits, think tanks, and the private sector. Through curated resources, targeted training, and mentorship, the program equips participants with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to successfully pursue policy careers.
Program Goals

Expose youth to real policy jobs
Help participants discover roles they may not have considered and understand how to access them.

Provide targeted skills training
Build competencies in research, analysis, communication, and stakeholder engagement.

Connect youth with professionals
Offer mentorship and networking opportunities to learn from experienced policy practitioners.

Youth Employment Placement Program (YEPP)
The Engage Youth Employment Placement Program (YEPP) connects GTA youth with meaningful experiential learning opportunities in elected officials’ offices, while supporting civic offices with trained, motivated, and community-minded talent.

Participants gain hands-on experience in areas such as community outreach, communications, research, administration, events, and policy—building the skills, confidence, and networks needed to take their next step professionally.
